Your Questions, Answered

  • I offer a wide range of modalities to accommodate your needs. From Swedish to therapeutic massage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) to assisted stretching, trigger point and myofascial release to hot stone massage, and even craniosacral healing. I also include aromatherapy in every service, and hot towel treatments in most services.

  • You can book an appointment right here on my site! Scroll down on any page to book. Make sure you create a sign-in for Aquity, my booking platform, so it will make rebooking easier. I gather information in your intake form so I can tailor your massage for your needs. Also note that after you book, I will personally text you information on essential oils offered during your session and my professionally curated home-studio location.

  • My booking platform is set up so that bookings can be made no less than 12 hours in advance, however, you are welcome to text me to see if there is last minute availability. If there is, I would be happy to get you booked!

  • I blend Swedish and therapeutic techniques. I work with your nervous system, in a slow and intentional manner, so your muscles aren’t fighting me back. During your session, I adjust to what I feel and the feedback your body gives me. I have training in Swedish, sports, PNF, assisted stretching, craniosacral, and more. Also, I am constantly adding to my repertoire by engaging in continuing education units at live trainings to serve you better and stay informed.

  • I use organic clear jojoba oil as my primary massage medium. Jojoba is especially loved because it closely resembles the skin’s natural oil (sebum), which helps it feel lightweight, nourishing, and easily tolerated by many skin types.

It provides a smooth glide for massage while still feeling clean and supportive to the skin.

If you have any allergies, sensitivities, or skin concerns, please let me know before your session.

  • When you arrive, we will start with a quick conversation about what you are feeling in your body, any areas of tension, and what your goals are for your session.

I will step out while you get on the table and get comfortable. You’ll always be properly draped, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.

During the session, I will check in about pressure and comfort. Please, tell me at any time if there are any areas of discomfort.

Afterward, we can go over anything I noticed, and I can give simple suggestions, if you’d like.

My goal is for you to feel comfortable, respected, and leave feeling better than when you came in.

  • I always say, “dress down to your comfort level.” A massage is not effective if you are uncomfortable. Clothing, though, is a barrier to massage. Most people leave their underwear on, but that is up to you. I would recommend if underwear were worn, to wear a garment that allows for the attachment sites at the hip to be massaged, especially if you are accustomed to wearing trunks/boxer briefs.

For craniosacral sessions, the service is done fully clothed (but with comfortable clothing, such as yoga pants and a shirt, basketball shorts, etc.). Items like jeans would be restrictive and too thick for palpation on the sacrum area.

If you desire a sports massage/stretch session, this can be done clothed or undressed. It is up to you!

  • Absolutely! I always ask your preferred pressure, and after warming up, will check in with you during your massage. During your massage, I work to maintain consistent pressure. There may be times when one area is more sensitive than another, and I will adjust as I go as your body responds.

Focus areas can be requested, as well. The more focus areas, the more time I recommend for your session to ensure you are feeling better than when you came in.

  • It’s really important to me that you feel comfortable the entire time. If anything ever feels off, whether it is pressure, positioning, temperature, or anything else, please let me now and I will adjust right away.

You are in control of the session, and we can pause or stop any time if needed. There is no pressure to “push through” anything. Your comfort comes first.

  • -Cash is preferred, but be aware I do not keep cash on-site if change is needed. Cash ensures big banks do not receive all of the fees they require when digital payments are used. Money loses its value each time it is spent, digitally, for the consumers and sellers, while banks make tons of money on every dollar.

-Zelle, an option that helps mitigate fees owed to banks for the first transaction, but not subsequent.

-Major credit and debit cards. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover via the Square point-of-sale system.

  • Yes! And I would love to welcome you to Healing Grove Massage.

  • It really depends on your goals and what your body has going on.

If you are dealing with more chronic tension or pain, something like once a week or every other week can help make real progress.

For more general maintenance or stress relief, once a month works well for a lot of people.

Everyone is different. I usually help clients find a rhythm based on how their body responds.

  • I think every therapist has their own style, but what I focus on is making sure each session is intentional and customized.

I don’t follow a set routine. I pay attention to what your body is doing and adjust as we go. If I am able, in addition to focus areas, I address all areas of the body. Everything is connected. I work in a targeted, slower, more relaxing approach.

I also focus on using the right pressure for your body, not just going as deep as possible.

Everything in my studio is professionally curated to induce comfort and relaxation to allow your body and mind to rest and let go.

Overall, my goal is for you to feel comfortable, listened to, and actually get lasting relief. Not just a one-time session.
